Thank You, Calgary! What a Week.

From July 4–13, HANKKi proudly made its debut at the legendary Calgary Stampede—and what a ride it was! As Alberta’s biggest celebration of energy, culture, and community, the Stampede gave us the perfect stage to showcase something close to our hearts: Korean street food.

We’re beyond grateful to everyone who stopped by our HANKKi food truck, tried something new, and made our first Stampede an experience we’ll never forget.

Our First Rodeo (But Definitely Not Our Last)

This was our first time at the Calgary Stampede, and we came prepared—not with limited-time gimmicks, but with the same bold, flavour-packed HANKKi menu that fans across Alberta already know and love.

What We Served:

  • 4 Signature Hankki Bowls – Portable, warm, and ready in minutes

  • Galbi Chicken – Sweet, smoky, and perfectly glazed

  • Hankki Bokki (Tteokbokki) – Spicy rice cakes with chewy texture and bold gochujang flavor

  • Honey Butter Fries – Crispy, golden, and addictively sweet-and-savory

While our famous Korean-style corndogs—a fan-favorite at our regular locations—weren’t part of this year’s Stampede lineup, that didn’t stop the flavor or the fun. Guests dove into our other Korean street food favorites with just as much excitement. From the moment the gates opened each day, our bold rice bowls, sweet-savory sides, and signature dishes kept the lines moving and the energy high.

Many festival-goers shared they were hoping to see the corndogs but ended up discovering a new favorite instead. Whether it was the crispy Honey Butter Fries or the perfectly glazed Galbi Chicken, every item on our menu brought smiles, satisfied cravings, and introduced new fans to what Hankki is all about.

Why Hankki Fit Right In at the Calgary Stampede

The Calgary Stampede is loud, fast-paced, and full of flavor—and that’s exactly where HANKKi thrives. Our Korean street food menu, built around portability, bold taste, and fast service, was perfectly matched with the energy of the midway.

Here’s what made us stand out in the crowd:

  • Speed Meets Satisfaction
Our team served hundreds of bowls daily—most in under 5 minutes—without ever compromising on flavor.

  • Grab-and-Go Friendly
Designed for movement, our rice bowls made it easy to stroll, snack, and explore the festival without missing a beat.

  • Flavor That Bridges Cultures
From savory Galbi Chicken to spicy Tteokbokki, our menu offered a balanced taste of Korean cuisine that appealed to first-timers and foodies alike.

  • Approachable Yet Unique
While many guests had never tried Korean bowls before, our comforting format and familiar textures made it an easy yes—and a delicious surprise.

Whether it was your first taste of Korean food or you were simply craving something new and bold, our menu turned curiosity into cravings—and cravings into loyal fans.

The Real Secret Ingredient? It’s You.

The food was hot, but the vibes were even warmer. From day one of the Calgary Stampede, our yellow HANKKi food truck became a place of discovery, laughter, and connection. It wasn’t just about Korean street food—it was about the people who brought it to life.

We saw kids trying tteokbokki for the first time. Families lined up together, friends shared fries, and couples split a bowl of Galbi Chicken. Some of you shouted “this is so good!” on your very first bite—others came back again (and again) throughout the week. Whether it was your first time tasting Korean bowls or you’ve been part of the HANKKi family for years, we felt your excitement and energy every single day.

Each morning brought new fans, curious smiles, and the familiar buzz of a growing crowd. You shared your stories, left heartfelt reviews, and reminded us of why we do what we do.
