Hankki Supporters 1st Generation: Inspiring Stories Through Food, Creativity, and Community

At Hankki, food is more than just a meal — it’s a way to share culture, stories, and experiences.

This belief inspired the launch of the Hankki Supporters Program, where our 1st Generation Supporters brought the brand to life through authentic storytelling, creative missions, and heartfelt community engagement.

🗓️ Program Overview

From March 27 to August 5, Hankki Supporters 1st Generation completed seven unique missions.

The very first mission, “Eating Tteokbokki and Corn Dogs Together (with Cheese add-on option)”, kicked off an exciting journey that highlighted Hankki’s most beloved menu items.

Supporters received monthly Hankki gift cards and coupons, giving them the chance to enjoy Hankki Bowls, corndogs, and more while creating content. More than simple brand promotion, supporters turned each meal into a personal story.

To celebrate their creativity and dedication, the top supporter was awarded a Fujifilm Instax Mini Camera.

🏆 Meet the Winner: Victoria (@planocanada)

Among many creative voices, one stood out — Victoria, known on Instagram as @planocanada.

Originally from Brazil, Hankki quickly became one of her first comfort foods in Calgary. She shared:

“When I tried it, it reminded me of home — rice, meat, and salad. I always tell my friends, ‘Don’t assume it’s too different. Try it, and you’ll see it’s actually close to what we eat.’ Many of them ended up calling Hankki their comfort food too.”

Her approach to the program was all about authenticity:

“I wanted my content to feel genuine, not commercial. Since I really do eat at Hankki often, it was natural to share it as part of my life.”

🎥 Memorable Content

One of her favourite creations was a cheese pull video with her husband:

“It wasn’t scripted at all — we just had fun, and it turned out so well. It really captured the joy of enjoying Hankki together.”

She also introduced Hankki to family and friends, even bringing her in-laws to the Banff location:

“I bring everyone I know to Hankki, and many of my friends are already addicted. Sharing that online made it even more special.”

But Victoria wasn’t alone. Many other Hankki Supporters also shared their own creative takes — from playful cheese pulls to colourful Hankki Bowls, family meals, and joyful snapshots with friends.

Together, these posts turned social media into a warm community space where Hankki Food became a story everyone could join.

🌱 More Than Missions, A Journey of Growth

Participating in Hankki Supporters gave Victoria valuable experience and confidence.

“It was my first time following structured guidelines and deadlines. I learned to balance creativity and organization, and that gave me confidence to collaborate with more brands.”

She reflected that this process helped her discover a new side of creativity — not just coming up with ideas, but also delivering them with consistency and clarity. It became a stepping stone toward more collaborations in the future.

🍴 Hooked on Hankki Favourites

At first, her favourite was the Hankki Bowl — a comforting choice that reminded her of home. But once she tried the mozzarella cheese corn dog during the missions, it quickly became her must-have item.

“Now I’m hooked!” she laughed, explaining that it’s the one menu she can’t resist anymore.

For her, the joy of Hankki wasn’t only about flavour — it was about sharing those flavours with friends and family, and seeing them fall in love with Korean Food too.

💡 Tips from the Heart for Future Supporters

Her advice to the next generation of supporters is simple but powerful:

“Be creative, think outside the box. On social media, what people enjoy most is always the unexpected.”

She encouraged applicants to keep their content authentic and fun — because in the end, that’s what truly connects with people.
