Meet the Winner: Hankki Supporters 2nd Generation | Alberta Korean Street Food Creator Interview
A Korean Street Food Content Creator Program in Alberta, Canada
The Hankki Supporters 2nd Generation program ran from December 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026, bringing together passionate creators across Alberta who love Korean street food and local restaurant culture.
Over two months, supporters completed creative, mission-based challenges introducing Hankki’s menu, brand story, and community initiatives in their own authentic voice.
This program continues to position Hankki as more than a Korean street food restaurant — but as a growing creative platform for Alberta-based content creators.
Supporting Hankki Charity Day: Community Impact Through Korean Street Food
This season began with a meaningful first mission promoting Hankki Charity Day in support of Easter Seals Alberta. Even during the busy holiday season, supporters created thoughtful content that helped bring more attention and participation to the campaign.
At the end of the program, participants were evaluated based on creativity, consistency, and how well they understood each mission. This season’s standout winner was Nicole (@itsmeroble).

How Nicole Discovered Hankki in Banff — and Became a Regular Customer
Nicole first tried Hankki in Banff and was immediately impressed by the portion size and value. As someone who already loved Korean food, the experience stood out. When she later heard Hankki was opening in Red Deer, she was genuinely happy. She quickly became a regular customer, and Hankki became one of her favourite restaurants. Applying for the Hankki Supporters program felt natural because she was already visiting frequently.
Supporting Hankki Charity Day: A Memorable Community Moment
Her most memorable moment came during the Hankki Charity Day mission. She did not expect a large turnout, but when she arrived at the store, she saw a long line of customers waiting. Many shared that they loved the food and appreciated being part of a charity initiative. That experience showed her how engaged and supportive the Hankki community is.
Mission Highlight: Build Your Best Hankki Bowl with Combo Bob
Nicole’s favourite challenge was “Build Your Best Hankki Bowl with Combo Bob,” a creative mission where supporters designed and presented their ideal Hankki bowl combination. She enjoyed planning the concept, filming inside the restaurant, and editing the final video. Her personal favourite combination included kimchi.
Creative Growth Through the “Create a Viral Hankki Meme” Mission
The mission that pushed her the most was “Create a Viral Hankki Meme.” She spent time considering what type of humour could resonate in a culturally diverse country like Canada. By asking classmates for feedback and researching different references, she learned how to create content that more people could understand and enjoy.
Why Nicole Describes Hankki as "Love"
When asked to describe Hankki in one word, she chose “Love.” Her entire family enjoys visiting, and they consistently feel welcomed. Because of that experience, they naturally became regular customers.
Advice for Future Hankki Supporters Applicants
Nicole encourages future applicants not to overthink the program. Despite being a student, full-time worker, mother, and wife, she approached each mission simply—if she wanted Hankki and there was a mission to complete, she went and filmed. Her advice is to enjoy the process and take action without hesitation.
