2026 Calgary Stampede: Bigger Than Last Year, Better Than Ever
From July 3 to July 12, HANKKi proudly returned to the Calgary Stampede 2026 for our second consecutive year, bringing Korean street food, a brand-new Stampede-exclusive menu and an even bigger vision to one of Canada’s largest annual events.
Returning to the Calgary Stampede meant more to us than simply participating in another festival.
Our first appearance gave us the opportunity to introduce HANKKi Korean street food to thousands of visitors from Calgary, across Alberta and beyond. The experience exceeded our expectations and became an unforgettable milestone for our team.
This year, we returned with the same excitement—but with an even bigger vision.
We wanted to build on that momentum, introduce something new and share Korean street food with even more people.
Across ten unforgettable days, the HANKKi Food Truck welcomed thousands of guests, celebrated new achievements and created memories that will stay with us long after Stampede.
A Korean-Inspired Menu Made for Calgary Stampede 2026
One of our biggest goals this year was to create a menu item that truly belonged at the Calgary Stampede.
Inspired by Canada’s iconic poutine and HANKKi’s Korean identity, our team developed HANKKi Seoul Stampede Fries, a menu item created exclusively for the 2026 Stampede.
Rather than simply introducing another loaded-fries dish, we wanted to create something that celebrated Korean and Canadian food cultures while staying true to who we are.
Months of brainstorming, recipe testing and refinement led to the final menu that guests enjoyed throughout the festival.
The response exceeded our expectations.
One of the comments we heard most often was:
“Wow, it’s way bigger than I expected!”
Seeing friends and families gather around one order and share it while enjoying the Stampede reminded us exactly why we created this menu.
HANKKi Seoul Stampede Fries Earns Midway Food Recognition
This year, HANKKi Seoul Stampede Fries was named 1st Runner-Up in the International Delight category at the Calgary Stampede Best New Midway Foods Competition.
For our team, this recognition represented much more than an award.
It reflected the creativity, collaboration and countless hours that went into developing a menu designed specifically for Calgary Stampede 2026.
More importantly, it reinforced our belief that Korean flavours can create meaningful and memorable food experiences for people from every background.
Receiving this recognition during only our second year at the Calgary Stampede was an incredible honour. It also motivates us to keep developing new ways to introduce Korean street food to Calgary and beyond.
Connecting with Guests Beyond Calgary Stampede
Introducing a new menu was an exciting milestone, but we also wanted to build a stronger connection with every guest who visited the HANKKi Food Truck.
One small change reflected that goal.
For the first time, every order-number card included a 10% coupon on the back, inviting guests to visit one of our HANKKi locations after the festival.
Calgary Stampede lasts only ten days. Our hope was that the relationships we built during those ten days would continue long after the festival ended.
Whether someone was discovering HANKKi for the first time or returning after visiting us last year, we wanted every interaction to become the beginning of a longer journey with our brand.

Record-Breaking Results at Calgary Stampede 2026
The response from Calgary Stampede guests was incredible from the very beginning.
Across the full event—including Sneak-a-Peek—the HANKKi Food Truck experienced some of the busiest service periods our team has ever handled.
During peak hours, the line stayed active as our team worked together to keep orders moving while delivering the bold Korean street food flavours our guests came to enjoy.
What Calgary Stampede Guests Loved Most
Throughout the 11-day event, guests kept coming back for some of HANKKi’s most popular menu items.
On average, the HANKKi Food Truck served:
Around 800 HANKKi Bowls each day
More than 200 Galbi Chicken orders per day
More than 200 HANKKi Seoul Stampede Fries per day
These daily numbers reflect the incredible response from Calgary Stampede guests and the growing excitement around HANKKi’s Korean street food.
The breakout star was undoubtedly HANKKi Seoul Stampede Fries.
Created exclusively for Calgary Stampede 2026, this Korean-inspired Stampede menu item quickly became one of the most popular dishes at the HANKKi Food Truck.
Its generous portion, bold flavours, and shareable format made it a natural fit for families and friends enjoying the Stampede together.
The dish also earned 1st Runner-Up in the International Delight category at the Calgary Stampede Best New Midway Foods Competition.
For our team, that recognition made an already unforgettable event even more meaningful.
But the success of Calgary Stampede 2026 was about more than popularity or numbers.
Behind every order was a guest who chose to make HANKKi part of their Stampede experience.
