At HANKKi, we often say we're More Than a Meal.
To us, those words have never been about food alone. They represent the people who prepare every ingredient with care, welcome every guest with genuine hospitality, support one another through busy shifts, and continue giving their best every single day. Behind every bowl we serve is a team whose dedication makes HANKKi what it is today.
That belief is the reason Employee Day exists.
More than an annual event, Employee Day is our opportunity to pause, come together, and recognize the people behind our brand. It's a chance to celebrate not only what we've accomplished as a company, but also the individuals whose passion, commitment, and hard work have made those accomplishments possible.
On July 22, HANKKi proudly hosted its 2nd Employee Day, bringing together team members from our company-operated stores, franchise locations, and Head Office. It was a day dedicated to appreciation, celebration, and reflection—a reminder that while restaurants may be measured by sales or growth, our greatest strength will always be our people.
Looking Back on the Journey
The day began with a special seven-minute interview film featuring Bella, Jayden, and John, three team members who have each been part of HANKKi for the past four years. Rather than focusing on the company's growth alone, the film highlighted the people behind that journey. They shared the friendships they built, the challenges they overcame, and how HANKKi has shaped both their careers and personal lives.
Their stories reminded everyone that HANKKi's greatest achievements have never been built by one person, but by ordinary people showing up every day with dedication, consistency, and heart.
The celebration continued with our annual MVP Awards, recognizing team members who demonstrated outstanding leadership, teamwork, and commitment throughout the year. We also honored a long-serving employee whose journey has grown alongside HANKKi, celebrating the loyalty and dedication that have helped shape the culture we are proud of today.
As the celebration moved into the evening, the atmosphere became even more lively. From the Lowest Phone Battery Challenge and OX Quiz to rock-paper-scissors competitions, the room was filled with laughter and excitement.
One of the biggest highlights of the evening was the Lucky Draw. With nearly $5,000 worth of prizes prepared for the event, excitement filled the room long before the first winner was announced. Some team members even purchased bundles of raffle tickets, hoping to increase their chances of hearing their names called. Every winning ticket was met with loud cheers and applause, and the excitement was shared by everyone in the room, making each prize feel like a celebration for the entire team.
More importantly, it was an opportunity for team members from different stores to meet, reconnect, and spend meaningful time together outside of work, strengthening the relationships that make HANKKi more than just a workplace.
A Message That Defines Who We Are
Employee Day has never been about awards, games, or announcements alone. At its heart, it is HANKKi's way of expressing sincere gratitude to the people who make our company what it is every day.
That message was reflected throughout Rocky's address to the team. Rather than focusing on announcements, he reminded everyone of what truly defines HANKKi.

Every bowl prepared with care. Every customer greeted with a smile. Every teammate who steps in to help during a busy rush. It is these ordinary moments, repeated every day, that create extraordinary results.
Employee Day exists to recognize those moments—and the people behind them.
More Than a Celebration
Looking around the room that evening, it was clear that Employee Day had become much more than an annual event. It was a reflection of the culture we've been building together since HANKKi first opened its doors.
Throughout the day, team members from different stores shared stories, laughed together, and celebrated one another's achievements. New friendships were formed, familiar faces reunited, and for a few hours, everyone gathered not as separate locations or departments, but as one team with a shared purpose.
Moments like these remind us that our culture isn't created by slogans or posters on a wall. It's built through the everyday actions of people who choose to help one another, learn together, and take pride in what they do. Employee Day simply gives us the opportunity to pause and celebrate that culture together.

As Employee Day came to a close, one thing became even clearer to us.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our franchise partners, whose continued support and participation made this year's Employee Day even more meaningful. By joining us in sharing 50% of the day's sales with our employees, they demonstrated that our commitment to putting people first is a value shared across every HANKKi location.
